Ravi Kirin and Chandrashekar have dedicated themselves to merging modern design
with traditional indian textiles, working exclusively in khadi.
for spring 13 the three of us have designed
a new range of clothing and accessories for Auntie Oti.
we started our day with idilis at the New Modern Hotel
then went to the studio where i took photos of these silk clamp dyed fabrics
from the metaphor studio line designed by Chandrashekar:

in indigo blue on fine cotton khadi
new samples for spring :

yesterday we stumbled upon a khadi operation in the heart of the city :
the top floor of the building was devoted entirely to
illustrating the life of Gandhi through numerous photographs

huge stockpiles of heavy weight cotton khadi;
some of the yarn was spun on the premises
twisting hand spun silk into 2 ply yarn for weaving outside the city
